My friend previously worked in the real estate industry and, even after leaving, continued to assist them on a freelance basis. She introduced me to freelance opportunities with the company, which led me to start editing short-form videos for commercial purposes, which is a field quite different from my previous experience. Unlike the humorous or highly engaging content I had worked on before, these videos aim to clearly showcase the features of the properties. This has given me the chance to develop a completely new approach to videography and video editing.
Property Tour Videos
These videos are primarily created to showcase various properties for sale to online audiences, highlighting their key selling points and ultimately presenting the asking price. The goal is to attract potential buyers by providing a clear and engaging overview of each property.
The footage is filmed by the agents and their teams, and the editing is entrusted to us. My role involved transforming the raw footage into fast-paced, polished videos that emphasise the most important features. This includes enhancing key moments with special effects and supplementing them with B-roll to provide additional context. The videos shown here are the ones I was responsible for editing.
